When Frank M. Eidson was a boy growing up in Orlando, he harbored no doubts about what he wanted to do when he grew up. His father, George T. Eidson Jr., was a legendary attorney in the area, known for his exceptional courtroom skills and his generosity in the community.
Frank knew that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps and has done just that, developing his own reputation as an attorney in the Orlando area who stands up for the rights of those who have suffered injuries through no fault of their own or who have been prevented from working by disability.
Since launching the law firm that bears his name in 1989, Frank has assisted thousands of Floridians in gaining the recoveries they need to get their lives back in order and has achieved numerous professional recognition in the process.
A Vision of Providing Excellence in Client Service
A 1984 cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University, Frank earned his J.D. from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 1987. He spent his first year as a lawyer working at the law firm of Maguire, Voorhis & Wells, where he handled commercial litigation. He then shifted his career path and joined the plaintiff’s personal injury firm of Griffin, Morgan, Linder & Adler for another year before deciding that he wanted to start his own law firm.
From the beginning, Eidson’s vision for the firm was to provide excellence in client service. He has never wavered from that goal. He has kept his operation small and lean, staffed by highly experienced paralegals. He has also been selective in the cases that he takes on.
“When clients hire me, they get me,” he says. “I’m the one they talk to. I’m the one who’s there with them at the deposition. I’m not flipping them to an associate.”
A Satisfaction from Helping Clients to Recover
Frank concentrates his practice in several areas: Auto accidents and other personal-injury cases, workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability benefits. He also often teams up with The Maher Law Firm, handling mass tort claims that have resulted in recoveries for thousands of harmed consumers.
“It’s a great feeling when people say thank you,” Frank says. “When they’re getting ready to lose their home, their family is in distress, and then everything works out, it’s a happy day when you can give them the money that might be pulling them out of bankruptcy. It’s very satisfying when you can help clients out.”
Meanwhile, Frank has achieved recognition from numerous legal and professional organizations for his work. He has received the “Best of Bar” honors from the Orlando Business Journal. He has also been listed in Florida by SuperLawyers Magazine in every year since 2007.
A Commitment to the Community
Frank’s commitment to people in need doesn’t end with the services he provides to his clients. His law firm has been an active participant in the Wounded Warrior Project, providing wounded veterans who love hunting an opportunity do so again with assistance. For many of these veterans, it is their first venture outdoors following hospital treatment.
He also started Lawyers for Children, an organization that has raised money to assist the neonatal unit at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children. In addition, Frank has served on the board of directors of the Brain Injury Association of Florida.
In his limited spare time, Frank enjoys spending time with his wife of 25 years, Cindy, and their three sons: George, Don and Earl.
