Attorney Laura Shields, Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys

Hi, I am Laura Lee Shields, a lifelong Central Florida resident, with more than 10 years of experience helping injured victims.

I became a lawyer because I genuinely want to help people. I grew up in the Tampa area and got my Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Upon graduation, I began working for the law firm of Wilkes and McHugh, PA, mostly working with nursing home litigation. At that time, I decided to attend law school and I entered Barry University School of Law in Orlando in 2004.

Then during law school, I was injured in a rollover car accident on Interstate 4. This terrifying experience changed my life….and since then, I have been passionate about representing people injured in car accidents and going against insurance companies for justice. I bring that experience with me in representing injured victims at Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys.
